Edmonton Folk Music Festival: Get ready for the event of the year with four days of music, food, and picturesque outdoor settings with this festival staple of Edmonton summer fun, running Aug 6-9. Bring your lawn chair or a blanket and chill out to the sounds of some of the best folk acts around or get up close and be part of the crowd action. The Lion King: It's wild excitement on the stage with unforgettable performances, costumes and dance at Disney's The Lion King, running until Aug 9 at the Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium. Dinosaurs Unearthed: This is a great one for the kids! Step back to the age of the dinosaurs at the TELUS World Of Science, running until Oct 12. You'll experience a journey like no other as you and the kids will find endless things to do, like digging in search of fossils at excavations sites, and learning about the history of these enormous creatures. Park After Dark: Get together with friends or enjoy a unique date night with your partner with this live horseracing and patio party that runs on Friday nights until Sept 4. This is a summer event in Edmonton that can't be missed.
