6 Fat Burning Comfort Foods

Sign me on, confort food which will burn fat.
Sounds too good to be true, but apparently not.




Hot Chocolate

This one is my favourite there is nothing like preparing , anticipating
and snuggling up with a nice cup of hot chocolate, made with milk of course.
Turns out that while I am doing that I am loadingup on antioxidants.


These antioxidants are able to reduce my levels of cortisol,
a well known stress hormone which causes the body to hang on to belly fat,
It is the coca which is the where the troops are to be found 
to provide its' one two punch comfort and fighging off stomach fat.


A Cornell University study showed that the concentration of antioxidants in hot chocolate
is up to five times greater than it is in black tea.
While it’s working to fight off fat, its combo of carbs the protein in the milk
can also help the muscles to recover after a strenuous workout.


BONUS: It fights cravings.



Chicken Noodle Soup

When it is home made from scratch this has to be my third favourite.
Hot steamy bowl of mother nature's bounty.
Imagine chicken noodle soup for supper and a hot chocolate after supper.
Even if you start with a broth pre made it still works its magic.

Eat it before a meal and you will eat less as it makes you feel satiated.
Satiated is better than full. It is filled to satisfaction.
If you are a vegetarian then you can still have a hot steaming bowl of vegetable soup
before you eat and get the same satiated feeling , means you will eat less calories at the meal.


Both types of soup vegetarian and non-vegetarian are filled with , fiber and vitamins.
Add in soybeans to the vegetable soup
and you will get the same protein kick the chicken version provides.


Flavour the soup with minced garlic, onion, parsley,
and bay leaf, rather than using salt.
The celery and carrots a provide your body with calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, and potassium.
The more veggies you can add in, the better it will be for you.


Pot Roast (Beef or Vegetarian version)

For Vegetarias you can substitue your favourite roasted vegetables,
and add beans for protein.
That also ranks as Yum Yum


Protein once inside of you becomes an instant fat fighter.
You burns calories just by digesting protein
because our body must work harder to break down the protein and use it for energy.
Protein also takes longer to leave your stomach, causing you to feel full for longer
and help you eat less later in the day.


The FASEB Journal shows that dieters who double their protein intake
lose more fat and maintain more muscle mass
than dieters who eat the recommended amount.


In the study, a group of people followed a 31-day weight-loss diet
which contained either the recommended daily amount of protein,
or twice the RDA, or three times the RDA.


While everyone lost about the same amount of weight,
the study revealed that people who doubled up on protein
lost the most fat, about 70 percent of their total weight loss.


So go ahead and enjoy that warm plate of pot roast, or roasted vegies with beans
and your body burns more fat with each bite you take!

Yey. Finally potatoes can be eaten guilt free.
Potatoes are high in carbohydrates, but once they are cooked
they convert their starch into resistant starch,
a unique carb which has been shown to cause your body to rev up and burn fat.

so instead it ferments it when it reaches the large intestine,

One full serve hearty bowl of chili is swimming with protein and nutrients
which will nurish and satisfy at the same time
The protein in the beef and beans,
vegetarians can leave out the meat and add another kind of bean
and the fibre from the tomatoes combine to fill the belly the body and the brain to curb cravings.


A hearty bowl of chili is packed with protein and nutrients that will leave you feeling full and satisfied,
according to Medical Daily. Its ingredients work well together, creating the perfect fat-burning dish.
The fiber from the tomatoes and the protein in the beef and beans
combine to curb your cravings and ensure you feel full and satisfied long after you’ve eaten.



Capsaicin, the compound which gives cayenne, chili peppers, and jalapeños their heat,

Ahhh oatmeal. The comfort food to beat all comfort foods.
Sure hot chocolate might come in second, but for comfort foods, oatmeal is the champ.
This start the day right breakfast is a high fiber choice which keeps you feeling full longer,
fights off cravings and stabalizes your blood sugar.


On top of its nutritional value oatmean has complex carbohydrates and has been linked
to reducing risk of diabetes, obesity and high blood pressure.
1 cup packs in 4 grams of fiber and 6 grams of protein.



You can make your own instant oatmeal to take everywhere
and eat it for snacks, lunch and supper at work
for when you are caught working lake and hanker to order greasy foods.


Cook up a batch more than you would eat in one sitting to have left overs, and put it in the fridge.
In the moring slice off a piece , put it in a microwave safe container and take it to work.


You could even leave it in the fridge at work,
as it s not likely people will want to steal your cold solidified oatmeal,
unless they know the following trick
Heat it up in the microwave, add milk and fruit or sweetener and it is as good as fresh.


Add cranberries to the oatmeal

Cranberries are rich in phyto-nutrients (naturally derived plant compounds),
particularly proanthocyanidin antioxidants, which are essential for all-round wellness.
The berries are indeed containing numerous chemical substances
which may offer protection from tooth cavities, urinary tract infection, and inflammatory diseases.
