Having been annexed by the City of Edmonton in 1982, the community of Blackburne is relatively new by Edmonton standards. Construction of Blackburne real estate began during the 1990s, since developing into a thriving and popular community with real estate that is much sought due to the extraordinary quality of life that the area offers.
