So, without further ado, let's get this party started...

NYE Fireworks in Edmonton

Free, family-friendly, and with fireworks - yes, it's the perfect trifecta for a stress-free night out with the kids. And we couldn't just give you one spot for this entry because the entire Edmonton area breaks out with fantastic locations to take the family on new year's eve.

So, if you need a place to bring the kids that's fun for everyone, and won't lighten your wallet (too much), then peruse this list for the location that best suits you:

Haddow Park - Out in southwest Edmonton this event includes sleigh rides, snow shoeing, bannock making, and a range of tasty treats. Starts at 5pm.

Greenfield - Skating, sledding, snowmen, and more treats! 20 minutes south from downtown Edmonton, this event is hosted by the Greenfield Community League and starts at 7pm, with fireworks at 9pm.

North Millbourne - From 6:30pm to 8:30pm, come out to this community just beyond Whitemud Drive in southeast Edmonton. Food, games, crafts, skating and, of course, fireworks!

Downtown - This is the big one. Located around the Alberta Legislature Grounds, the fun begins at 6pm, with music, games, performances, ice carving, fire pits, and lantern-making. Fireworks begin at 9pm. Accompanied by music, these are set to be the best pyrotechnics in the city.
