Having been annexed by the City of Edmonton in 1982, the community of Blackburne is relatively new by Edmonton standards. Construction of Blackburne real estate began during the 1990s, since developing into a thriving and popular community with real estate that is much sought due to the extraordinary quality of life that the area offers. It's thanks to those major connectors that Blackburne is a great choice for commuters, with the morning commute to Downtown Edmonton taking as little as 25 minutes on most days.
